Luncheons are enlivened by raffles, fashion and jewelry shows, and stimulating speakers on topics such as adult literacy, mental health, breast cancer research, local opera and theatre companies, and other topics of interest to women.

Please Join Us For Our Valentine’s Day Luncheon and Program

For Valentine's Day our program will feature Bill Lohmann, an award-winning reporter and a noted columnist for the Richmond Times-Dispatch.  He is a Richmond native who has worked for the Times-Dispatch, and previously for the Richmond News Leader, since 1988.  Bill is the author of "Back Roads:  People, Places and Pie from Around Virginia",  "Backroads and Byways of Virginia: Drives, Day Trips & Weekend Excursions", as well as others. His travels around Virginia have long been chronicled in his Times-Dispatch column.

Richmond Times Dispatch photographer Bob Brown and columnist Bill Lohmann have traveled around Virginia for many years, reporting stories from the Atlantic Ocean to the Blue Ridge Mountains and beyond.   Bill's good humor shines, making his audience feel they are with him on his jaunts around Virginia, whether venturing deep into mountain hollows, facing down the wind on a beautiful barrier island, or sliding into a booth at a down-home diner.

Bill will be showing us a slideshow of photos from around our beautiful state of Virginia while telling stories of his adventures in some of our more noted attractions and obscure destinations.  He will also be giving us a travel log of interesting places and destinations we can follow on our own--once the sun and warm weather return to Virginia!

Hope to see all of you for a fun and fascinating story of the beautiful state in which we are fortunate enough to live!
